Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Eased mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Eased ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service and that they have read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. The Service

Eased delivers a daily written note shaped to a personal profile you create during onboarding. Notes are drawn from a curated library; they are not generated live by an AI model at the time of delivery. The Service is intended for general reflection and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or other professional advice.

3. Your account and profile

The Service stores your profile (name, life context, preferences, voice selection, notification times) on your device. We do not require account creation to use the core features. You are responsible for keeping your device and any credentials secure.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Eased offers auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store. By starting a subscription you authorize Apple to charge the payment method associated with your Apple ID.

• Free trial. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. Your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the standard rate (currently $69.99 / year for the Yearly plan, $12.99 / month for the Monthly plan) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Lifetime. A one-time Lifetime purchase grants ongoing access without recurring billing for as long as the Service is offered.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service; (b) use the Service in violation of any applicable law; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (d) use any automated means to access or scrape the Service; or (e) resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or its content without our written permission.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including all written notes, software, design, copy, and trademarks, is owned by Eased or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

7. Saved notes and user content

Notes you save are stored locally on your device. You may export or delete them at any time. We do not claim ownership of personal annotations you create.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Eased is not a medical, mental-health, or crisis service. If you are in distress, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency services.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eased and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app from your device.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Eased is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

13. Apple end-user license terms

If you accessed the Service via the Apple App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement also applies as an additional set of terms between you and Apple.
